It’s hard to put into words the experience that Blaž provided! Firstly, he is an excellent, very knowledge guide. His love of nature, adventure and his country is contagious and must be experienced if you are visiting Bled. I felt very safe and well looked after. The tour was about 5 hours and we ventured through parts of Triglav national park with some of the most beautiful autumnal landscape I’ve ever seen. We stopped at a local farm and restaurant with the option to try some typical Slovenian dishes! I can honestly say I will never forget this experience and look forward to returning 🙂

We had the greatest day with Blaz! A highlight of our time spent in Lake Bled. It was a challenging bike ride although his bikes handled the roads perfectly! The bikes were in excellent condition and easy to use! The pedal assist was nice to have on the hills! We strolled through villages and saw Triglav National park. Had a small picnic (local salmi and cheese) by a small beautiful lake. Honestly I loved this part the best because we had some great conversation with Blaz! He was full of interesting facts and taught us about the Slovenian culture. Thanks Blaz!! We also got to meet some of his best friends when we stopped for our Bled cake! Blaz is now considered our friend in Slovenia!
“… I am not normally one to rate tours as they can be very generic but this tour is a one off experience that you will not undergo if you were not with a local. …”
An absolute must for anyone visiting Slovenia. I am not normally one to rate tours as they can be very standard and generic but this tour is a one off experience that you will not undergo if you were not with a local.
Blaz took us on the most fun and incredible bike ride suited to our ability and needs. He took us to all the beautiful places that tourists do not get to so you get to experience all of the beautiful areas to yourself. We met some local people along the way, learnt about the local culture and ways, ate the local foods & drinks.
Blaz himself was a incredibly caring man who will look after you for the day. Great conversation along the route.
Thanks Blaz 🙂

Welcome to Slovenia, Bled – Imago Paradisi. Settle in your cozy hotel room and make yourself at ease. When ready, shake off your legs with an easy walk in the area if you would like.
Tonight we celebrate the beginning of this adventure with a dinner at our favourite local restaurant, to get to know each other and do a plan for the upcoming days.
You will ascend towards the mountain ridge Karavanke that separates Slovenia and Austria. Across the green fields, past the lake and in the direction of the highest peak of the ridge (2236m) we reach the mountain pastures. On undemanding paths and roads we move along the ridge at about 1300m above sea level.
Depending on our energy levels, we can visit number of pastures through pleasant ascents and descents. A stop at the mountain lodge is mandatory. 🙂
Pokljuka is a high plateau in the Triglav National Park, located about 20 kilometers west of the town of Bled. It is known for its stunning natural beauty, with thick forests, meadows, and rugged mountain peaks.
Bohinj Lake, on the other hand, is a picturesque alpine lake located in the Bohinj Valley, about 25 kilometers southwest of Bled. The lake is the largest in Slovenia and is surrounded by the towering peaks of the Julian Alps. Visitors can enjoy swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding on the crystal-clear waters of the lake, as well as hiking and mountain biking in the surrounding forests.
You can either go on a longer option route to connect those 2 destinations, choose a train to shorten the route, or just visit one of the places – Pokljuka or Bohinj Lake. 🙂
Enjoy mountain biking adventure from Radovljica’s charming old town to the Talež viewpoint and Vodiška planina. The journey begins with a leisurely ride through Radovljica’s historic streets, immersing cyclists in the town’s medieval charm. As you exit the town, the trail gradually ascends, leading to the Talež viewpoint, where a panoramic vista of the Julian Alps and the Radovljica plain awaits. Continue the ride towards Vodiška planina, navigating through forested paths and alpine meadows. This mountain biking route seamlessly blends cultural exploration with the thrill of natural beauty, promising an enriching experience for riders of varying skill levels.
The circle around Lake Bled is simply a must. However, it can be upgraded with an ascent to the castle with a beautiful view of the lake and its surroundings, which we will explore. The surrounding villages of Bled along the Sava River, on the withdrawn macadam paths, we reach the boutique old town of Radovljica.
Afterwards, we would ride into the mountain valley with a lot of interesting history and beautiful treasures. We will arrive to the beginning of Julian Alps, where the mountain view is amazing. In the valley we will also stop by the special lake with green color, and see why it is like that.
At the end of the valley there is nice local farm place, where the food is prepared with local ingredients. This is also the place, where we decide – to visit Mountain hut surrounded by peak of Alps, or continue towards a1azing beautiful waterfall, where you can even walk behind…

We will connect those 2 destinations on one special bike tour and finish the day with locals. They are preparing us a dinner.
Kranjska Gora is a small alpine village located in the northwestern part of Slovenia, close to the borders of Austria and Italy. The trip for you, which may include Lago di Fusine just across the border in Italy, the mountain peak of Tromeja (Italy, Slovenia, Austria triple border), and Planica – famous ski jumping valley. Depends, how long route you would pick for the day. 🙂
Vršič Pass is a high mountain pass that connects the town of Kranjska Gora with the Soča Valley to the west. The pass is located at an altitude of 1,611 meters and is known for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It was originally built during World War I as a supply route for the Austro-Hungarian army. On the way to the pass, you would also visit Krnica, with amazing views, and to stay on gravel, out of the busy road.
After the tour we say goodbye with unforgettable memories and plans for the next adventure. 🙂
