Bled is astonishing place. But don’t forget all the not crowded surroundings which are too often forgoten. Luckily. 🙂

The circle around Lake Bled is simply a must. However, it can be upgraded with an ascent to the castle with a beautiful view of the lake and its surroundings, which we will explore.

Thus, through the surrounding villages of Bled along the Sava River, along the withdrawn macadam paths, we reach the boutique town of Radovljica, which offers a lot.

After the pulse of the city, we return to the fields and unspoiled nature, where the world of castles, heroes and a hidden lake in the valley just below the mountains await us.

We are not close to the starting point yet and the way back offers so many possibilities…

Today we went on an amazing trip with our kids aged 10 and 13 on Blaz's e-bikes. The bikes were ordered the day before and we were able to pick them up early in the morning to take a 60km tour on Blaz's advice. The battery lasted with ease, we still had a quarter left, and what great bikes they were! It is fantastic to discover the area around Lesce and Bled by bike, especially considering the busy traffic in the high season, you won't get anywhere by car and parking. By bike everywhere! And easy to do with the roads and cycle paths here. Highly recommended to rent your bicycles/e-bikes from Blaz!

Our half day bike ride with Blaz in Triglav National Park was the highlight of our trip to Slovenia! Blaz is very friendly, personable, and attentive. He genuinely cared that we were having a good experience.He picked us up in his van from the train station near Bled. (He also gave us advice when our train was delayed.) We then drove a short ways into the park. We got on our e-bikes and began the ride. The bikes were advanced, late-model bikes that were easy to use. The ride itself is beautiful through gorgeous landscapes, along a small river and past small in-holdings. We stopped for a tasty picnic lunch by a waterfall. Blaz brought local cheeses, breads, jams and meats. While Blaz set up the lunch, we took a short hike up to, and behind, the waterfall. After lunch we then biked back by a slightly different route to our starting point.We returned to Lake Bled. Blaz said we could hold onto the bikes for a while longer while he took care of other business and that he would meet us later. We then used his bikes to bike around Lake Bled, stopping to rent rowboats to row to the island in the lake. We also stopped for dinner at a restaurant overlooking the lake recommended by Blaz. We arranged with Blaz to pick us up where he had dropped us off. He then drove us to the train station where we took the train back to Ljubljana.We had a marvelous day thanks to Blaz. I highly recommend him!

The three bikes we rented made our stay in Bled 100 times more fun than it would have been just walking and driving. Blaz went out of his way to make sure our bikes were good fits for our range of body sizes and that we were comfortable operating them. Someday we hope to join one of his official bike tours in the beautiful Julian alps.

We had a fantastic time with Blaz' on our 3 day bike tour of Slovenia. He managed our lovely accommodations in Bled and all details concerning the e bike rental. The daily rides were tailored to meet our skill level and he really listened to our interests and needs. Blaz is a fantastic tour guide! He took us on trails around the area with amazing views and varied terrain/difficulty during our 3 day mountain biking tour. He took the time beforehand to learn what we were interested in doing, our skill level, and our comfort on a bike and then really delivered! You can tell that he’s passionate about what he does and wants to make sure you have a great time. We learned a lot about Slovenia from him and would love to come back for another tour. We had a wonderful day with Blaz exploring the local area around Bled and learning some of its history. Blaz was a delightful guide who not only introduced us to the beautiful Slovenian countryside, but also to a new and gentler way of looking at life! We just did a wonderful travel with Blaz! We are a group of ten friends from Brazil. He planned for us a tailor made travel . From Italy, to Slovenia and finishing in Croatia. Everything perfect planned by Blaz. He gave us an assistance during this 7 days , taking the luggages, reserving the dinner, hiring the hotels and the bikes and everything else.. And also organized a day trip to the capital of Slovenia Liubliana, Lake Bled and Postojna Cave. I highly recomend his service!!!

It was possible to rent a bike last minute. Within thirty minutes four good quality bikes were ready to use!The environment is amazing in this area. I would advise everyone to go on a bike trip with this tour guide.

What a great afternoon we had with Blaz! While visiting Ljublana for a few days (interrail) we wanted to find an opportunity to see the national park and Bled. Super to do this together with Blaz and on the e-mountainbikes of Discover By Bike. Blaz is very flexible, knows a lot about the history and culture and shares this with his guests. He even took a picnic with him to share some local food while we were at the lake.Amazing countryside, fantastic trip, and by using e-mountain bikes you can make the tour as heavy as you like (challenge: who uses the least amount of battery during the trip 😉).We had a tour of 4,5 hours and really really enjoyed it! Would recommend this to all.

After a week working in Ljubljana, I had a day to spare before flying home. As a keen cyclist, I found a route I’d like to ride and then contacted Doscover By Bike to see if they would be able to hire me a bike and also a guide to ride with, as I wasn’t familiar with the area. They were incredible! They checked out my idea for a route and improved on it, suggested the direction we should do it, and Blaz set a friendly pace.I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

We had the greatest day with Blaz! A highlight of our time spent in Lake Bled. It was a challenging bike ride although his bikes handled the roads perfectly! The bikes were in excellent condition and easy to use! The pedal assist was nice to have on the hills! We strolled through villages and saw Triglav National park. Had a small picnic (local salmi and cheese) by a small beautiful lake. Honestly I loved this part the best because we had some great conversation with Blaz! He was full of interesting facts and taught us about the Slovenian culture. Thanks Blaz!! We also got to meet some of his best friends when we stopped for our Bled cake! We received a great tip for pizza in a neighboring village called Baffi House of Pizza! We tried that the next day!! Blaz is now considered our friend in Slovenia!

An absolute must for anyone visiting Slovenia. I am not normally one to rate tours as they can be very standard and generic but this tour is a one off experience that you will not undergo if you were not with a local.Blaz took us on the most fun and incredible bike ride suited to our ability and needs. He took us to all the beautiful places that tourists do not get to so you get to experience all of the beautiful areas to yourself. We met some local people along the way, learnt about the local culture and ways, ate the local foods & drinks.Blaz himself was a incredibly caring man who will look after you for the day. Great conversation along the route.Thanks Blaz :-)

We spent the most fantastic morning with Blaz on Ebikes leaving from Bled and into the surroundings. The bikes were outstanding and he knows all sorts of interesting stuff about the area. He also supplied lunch of local produce. Definitely recommend anyone to spend time riding with this company if you are visiting Bled.

Just returned from a fantastic trip with Blaz. He is very knowledgeable about the local area and I would never have seen as much as I did if I had gone alone. He was very flexible and arranged the trip for me at very short notice. The surrounding area is stunning and the bikes were top of the range. I can’t recommend Blaz more highly!

Blaž is amazing! He fixed me a bike super fast and also made some routes so I could have a nice experience in the beautiful moutains around Bled.If you want to know anything about going on a bike adventure he’s your man. We recently took an e-bike trip as a part of our teambuilding event in Kranjska Gora, and it was really an excellent experience. Although the team members had various biking experiences and background, the route was doable for everybody. With interesting and funny facts about the area which our tour guide Blaž told us along the way, the biking trip turned into funny, interesting, and really relaxed biking experience. Highly recommended 😊 to all who wants to have awesome time on a bike.

We went on a bit different tour with Blaž - to the coast of Croatia (Istria). The seaside is amazing, and he is making sure that everyone in the group is doing well. The tour was a mixture of countryside, seaside and old city centres. You don’t need to be a big fan of cycling (I’m not), but the bike tour was really great experience. I would recommend this tour to a variety of people. 😁😊

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

What about bad weather?

I always carefully check the weather and try to give you some tips about the right clothes and gear for the following tour. 

Of course, if you would decide to cancel, or if the weather is too extreme for your safety, a fully refund or arrangement of new date is possible. 

I don't do sports/cycle. Can I still go on a tour?

Of course! You will have your electric bike to help you out and also the tour can always be adapted up to your wishes and fintess level. 

The tour distance, elevation and time can be adapted to your wishes before or during the ride. 

What should I have on a tour?

Sports wear, bottle(s) of water and some sun cream in summer months is ok to have. 

I provide you the helmet, first aid, service tools,… 

Is it possible to take a tour with our own bikes?

Of course. There will be a discount for the people on the tour with their own bikes. Contact me for more info and offer.
